Dr. Barb has 9 years of experience as an aquatic veterinarian with the National Marine Mammal Foundation, U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program, and the Vancouver Aquarium.

CARDIOLOGIST-IN-TRAINING
During her time as a marine mammal vet, through clinical cardiac cases and research conundrums, Dr. Barb became inspired to push the envelope of marine mammal cardiology. She pursued several veterinary echocardiography courses over the years and has now performed hundreds of dolphin, sea lion, and elephant seal echocardiograms. With the desire to continue advancing our understanding of cardiology in aquatic species, Dr. Barb decided to pursue an additional specialty to become a Board Certified Cardiologist. She will be training as a veterinary cardiologist at Angell Animal Medical Center for the next three years.
